We do this by sending interesting opportunities including jobs, internships, fellowships, virtual/in-person events, and much more. Alice from Mad Realities is hiring an intern to work on production and office management. Mad Realities is trying to build a new form of media, attempting to bridge the gap between “culture born online and production-level TV.” You’ll be working in their sunlit SoHo office ~ 2 days/week. Allen is building Vibee, a social app that uses AI to connect people based on their “vibes.” He’s looking for marketing interns to join his team, particularly people passionate about social media, event management, and connecting others. Neighbor is hoping to build the world’s largest hyperlocal marketplace (they recently raised $65 million to do this), and they are already live in all 50 states. They are hiring a graphic design intern. You can learn more and apply here.

Starting something:
Aneel from Soma Capital has reopened the Soma Capital Fellowship—a $100k to $1m grant in exchange for 0% ownership in your startup. They want to fund people at the earliest stages of their company building journey, meaning you could just be starting. You can apply for their fall cohort here.
Investing:
Dorm Room Fund is looking for investment partners across US universities as they hope to back other student founders through their $12.5m student-led venture fund. West Coast applications are open until September 29th, 2024. Partners are expected to commit roughly 10-15 hours per week. You can learn more here and apply here.
